Saturday at RG

As posted earlier this morning, the clutch went out in the Chinese crane and they refused to attempt to unload the container from the unstable ground at the foundation.  So they unloaded it onto the driveway and packed up their equipment and left the site.  We then went back to the guesthouse to rest and regroup.  After some brainstorming, we decided to unload as much of the equipment out of the container as possible and then we will attempt to move it to the foundation.  As it turns out, we completely unloaded the container except for the permanently mounted equipment.  RG had a lot of helpers to assist us and there was a lot of interaction with them.  Tomorrow, being Sunday, we will not attempt to go further with the move to the foundation, but we have some definite plans for doing this and are hopeful that the crane will not have to return.

Some of the heavy reels of wire had shifted during transit and there are scuff marks all around, but it appears that things did actually fare well on the trip.  The hired workers were all treated to a soda at the end of the day and they were happy.  So were we, to have the container unloaded and so close to being set onto the pillars.

Today s also the beginning of travel for the rest of our Team.  For some it will be a 1st experience with some of us and we are looking forward to meeting them on Monday evening.   Please pray for their safe travels and that there would not be any missed or delayed flights.

Tomorrow is Sunday and we will likely attend one of the local services either on the RG property or in nearby Karuma.  We worked hard today, so a day of rest will be welcome.  We hope you are going to be worshiping somewhere as well.
