2nd Wednesday

Today we were able to tweak some settings of the system from the Internet, which is a big step forward.  We are still unable to push very hard on the underground feeders due to the progress of the diggers, but we were able to run conduits to the new wards that are under construction, as well as to the Director's house.  We now have power connected to the existing Dental Clinic.  Before our time here the power for the hospital buildings came from the 16KW generator that had to be turned on each time the dentist had patients in the chairs.  Now the power is 24/7 from the PowerPac and then it is backed up by the much larger 250KW generator.  This is a great improvement.
This is the old generator that had to be started each time it was needed.  The other hospital buildings only ever had power when this generator was running.  Here is one glimpse of the old wiring...
Today we put the finishing touches on some of the PowerPac electrical panels.  The roofing on the opposite side of the PowerPac was finished and we began to lay out the hardware to mount solar panels on that side.

Please continue to pray for us that we will be patient as we follow along behind the Uganda workers.  Heavy equipment would get this job done much sooner, but the men working in the ditches are very happy for the work provided to them by RG.  Some of them travel here from as far as Gulu (about an hour away) and when their bus fare is paid for the week they don't have a lot to live on from what is left over.  Their smiles and high-fives with all of us are relationships that will last into eternity.  Relationships with these people are much more important than pushing to get the job finished.  May we always remember that.  Much needs to be done but as we look back, much has already been done.  God be praised!

Few pictures tonight as Internet is horrendously slow.  Thanks for your comments and prayers.
